Inspired

Hello Beauties!
I have been so inspired lately to just make whatever is on my mind. It's been so fun to whip out the next thing I'm dreaming, even though it might not relate at all to the last piece. It feels great to plan, sew, dream, stitch, fluff, primp, style...

OH! And also, a new little site is in the works, so stick close!

Bits Stylin'

I'm SO excited to finally get to share this photo shoot/campaign with you!!! One of my latest projects for 31 Bits was to create a way to advertise our holiday house parties. It was so much fun conceptualizing and styling the shoot as well as designing the ads. Also a big thank you to Trever Hoehne, our brilliant photographer!

I hope you enjoy this!

Oooohh! and here's a little glimpse behind the scenes!

...I'M BACK!

Well hello there! Betcha never thought I was coming back eh?!? For those of you that are amazingly enough still reading this after my 3 week hiatus, here's the long-awaited update. I've been crazy busy because I got a new job and moved to a new place! Super exciting, but a new schedule and buying me some internet slowed me down a bit (a lot). Sorry.

I landed my first creative job making visual displays for the Men's Store at Macy's. It feels wonderful to finally a. have a job, b. do something creative that I'm excited about. I get to do a lot of painting, styling, propping, cutting, ladder climbing, cart rolling, walking, organizing, vinyl-ing?, etc. I love it. It's something I've always thought would be an amazing job, but never thought it could be mine.

As for the new place, it's a pink apartment. No, really. The outside is pink. It's starting to feel like home, and when we finally paint and throw away all these cardboard boxes I'll put up some pictures. Get excited!

I'm off now, but come back next week, I've got some awesome good posts planned for you all.

Gear Up

Apparently since moving to California I've become a runner. It came by accident really. You see, I was invited to run at 5 am once in a place I had never been (left my phone in the car). I just got in the groove of things and took many a wrong turn, climbed a couple cliffs (steep hills actually, but hey, it sounds more extreme to say otherwise), hiked through a small wooded area until I finally found my way back. It was an adventure to say the least. Now, before then I had only run about 3 miles at one time and even that was a walking/running combo. This little escapade was just about 7 miles of pure running. Crazy I know! No joke, I'm addicted now. It sounds crazy for me to acknowledge that as well, but here I am a running freak who enjoys getting up at 5 am to run with friends. On that note, now that I'm a pro and all (HA!) I'm thinking it might be time to get some sweet new gear soon (soon being a very loose term that sounds near but really means never).

1. sleek tank, 2. handy heart rate monitor watch, 3. serious jacket, 4. coolest looking running shorts ever, 5. neon shoes, 6. rockin bag to put my shoes in to un-stink my car

Not Mine...Unfortunately

I came across James Geoffrey Nunn's work a couple days ago and just fell in love. I don't know what it is, but this is some of the most intriguing design and identity packages I've seen in awhile. I really love it. The colors, mixed patterns, and typography are amazing. It's so good!

Road Trip

This last week, two of the Bits girls and I headed up north to Monterey Bay for a week long event at Spirit West Coast. 5 days of camping, manning the booth, port-o-potties, air mattresses, interesting people, eating, mist, coffee, more eating and watching interesting people, and music. We made a quick stop into Monterey to taste test clam chowder and see the seals and dead jellyfish. It was fantastic. A week away into the wilderness with some chilly, cloudy, misty days is just what I needed. They're my favorite really.

Summer Lovin' Pt. 2

I already showed you the pictures of the work in progress (remember the poufs and quilts??), but here's video from our make-over day on Saturday! Enjoy!

**Don't be fooled, this picture is crazy deceptive. I don't have the know-how/skills to put videos on here yet, sooo you'll have to click here instead.
